What is a mole
A mole, often referred to as nevus is a common skin lesion. It consists of an abnormal concentration of pigment-producing cells which makes them look dark brown or black. Almost everyone has moles. Moles appear from childhood to early adulthood. In old age, they may increase or decrease in size. Moles can also appear due to skin damage from excessive sun exposure.
